Update and Glossy box chat

Hii guys!

It's been awhile i know so much has been going on with me, lately I've kind of  been at a cross roads with my life where i just don't know what to do with myself and what career path to take and what i want to achieve which has been resting heavily on my mind. I also had an eye infection for two weeks which wasn't great and couldn't wear make up for that time (i did sneak in some falsies two nights though lol) and then i lost my usb cable for my phone, which i have nooo idea where its gone of which i had lots of pics to show you which is a bit of a bugger.

Although i now have a brand new camera that i bought just over a week ago which i love, i was going to get a Nikon D3100 then i was in two minds, the camera is AMAZING but i just couldn't part with the money or rather my mum was telling me not to waste so much on one item so i got a Sony one a DSC-HX9V (saving me money get in haha) which also has a built in HD video recorder so i was thinking i may do some videos on my make up looks and stuff as i think it would work so much better than a blog post but we'll see. We all know how good i am at keeping up this blog (haha yeah right) so who knows but i would love to try it.

Anyway as I'm here wittering on i thought id mention my Glossy box, which i received last Thursday which was earlier apparently as mine was late last month which was sweet.
My box had these goodies in

some great things that i hadn't tried but that i probably wouldn't have if i had heard of them, still not sure.

The Daniel Sandler baby jet mascara is quite nice for getting right into the lashes but not something i need as i have quite long lashes, The murad acne cleanser which is also anti ageing actually gave me three quite painful spots which is something i very rarely get so not good, The Ahava moisturiser i haven't even tried yet just didn't appeal to me, I love the KMS California hair stay just for the change when you spray it out of the can haha (it comes out as a mousse and turns slowly into a watery substance).

I then final got a pack of rebel nails at first i dismissed them as i hated the design but afterwards thought I'll try them out for the actual concept of what they are, which turned out like this

When finished i really liked the design, this was my first time using these and i was pleasantly surprised as they didn't take long and for a first attempt i thought they looked good.

Soo thats it for my little update and glossy box chat.xx

Glossy box

I'm still so unsure about this concept the boxes yeah there lovely but i wonder how many people use the stuff a month after I'm just not sure.

I had a lot of drama with my box which has kind of leaned me toward cancelling my box but oh i don't want to cancel and then see amazing stuff anyways on to what went on. So I got the email on the Tuesday before everyone got there boxes on the Thursday, that my box had been dispatched which was cool as id forgotten it was coming up. Last time it came really really early, so i expected it to be the same probably on Friday so when i logged on Thurs to see everyone had theirs i was sad haha. The worst part was that i didn't want to spoil the surprise so didn't read any ones posts thinking mine would turn up the next day, of course it didn't.

So late Friday i emailed just to check that they had sent one out to me, i knew they'd taken the money but thought there could have been a  mix up and they had just missed me out. Turns out they had sent one out to me but the lovely girl i spoke to just couldn't find what had happened to mine, so she said to wait a week and then email back if i still had not received mine which i did and she said she would get one sent out to me ASAP which i was pleased about good customer service totally.

So this Monday morning i received my box nearly two weeks late but still i was glad to have it,  i already knew what was in most of the boxes as i ended up reading some of my favourite bloggers posts on them so  was looking forward to opening it.

I received Blink+go eyelashes in flirt number 1, Ciate' Paint pots nail enamel in skinny jeans no22, etat libre perfume two samples, Welda pomegranate regenerating body oil and finally Illamasqua Pure pigment in Tingle.

I love the eyelashes soo nice just the type i love full lashes but not over the top, i also love the Illamasqua pigment have been using it as a highlight and is soo nice. I really am not sure about the nail varnish love the application the brush etc but the colour just is not my  cup of tea i have it on my toes and im just not into it i feel like it looks a bit death like i don't know haha, i don't really like the perfume its abit strong for me i like the poem type thing in the orange smell which is cute but that's bout it. I have yet to try the body oil but it smells delish.

So thats my little two cents on july's glossy box
What do you think of the boxes ? will you wait it out ?
speak soon xx

Vicki's View's: Glossy box review & product rave

Glossy box has become quite the hot topic of conversation within the beauty community since launching last month, so I thought I would put my views about it out there. I didn't have the first box as I didn't really think it would be worth it etc and I know that a load of beauty bloggers got them free anyway so why not see what there opinion was first their not paying I would be Seems logical I think haha. I kind of wish now though that I'd had the first and not the second, full size lipstick and Nars illuminator yes please for 10 pound amongst 3 other things don't remember what they were now. So anyway after seeing heaps of people with said products I was slightly jel so signed up straight away which was lucky as I heard a lot of people missed out on due to them 'selling out' lol.

So anyways my box came on Friday I do believe at 7am yes 7am haha mad time least it wasn't spoilt for me though. I have pics but I'm sure you've all seen them apparently there were two types of box I think everyone had the batiste, perfume  Perles De Lalique and Bioeffect serum and then everyone had an opi polish one being silver the other being a berry shade, I had the silver one. Then there was either a shower/bath wash or a body buff cream I'm not too sure as I had the shower gel. (I've since found there to be a few others knocking around)

I'm not going to lie and say that I wasn't disappointed when I opened the package as I was and personally would of been with either box to be honest as I think they set the bar too high with the first leaving you expecting a lot more. I really do think that the first box with the two full size products was something of a bribe as it states luxury samples I for one don't think a full size product could be classed as a sample really so I do think they let themselves down slightly but could they ever contend with the first box no I don't think so they set the bar too high. I've now found out that the box will be going up a couple of pound for postage as they apparently gave free p&p for the first few months which I think they forgot to tell people it would seem.

I thought today I would tell you what I think of a few of the products after using them for just over a week starting with Batiste well this was just pointless at your local body care you can get a full sized one for a quid so proper pointless I mean I'll use it but did I expect something better than that Yes. The perfume is major strong but I like the smell a little dot rubbed in your neck and wrists is quite nice and it sure lasts the night maybe a more well known brand would have worked better. The polish I love Cant believe how small it is though haha. The shower/bath stuff is quite nice lingers and lathers amazingly. Which brings me nicely on to the final product which I adore it has changed my skin tone/type completely like no joke amazing in fact I wish I had a naked before face to show you and my now naked face after using it 3 or 4 times before going to sleep at night, you definitely need to wash your hands straight away though as it is rather sticky, I could rave about what it does all night it literally is amazing.

At first i wasn't sure about it i have quite extreme oily/combination skin so wasn't sure about using a serum expecting it to make me more oily but its done just the opposite and sort of balanced my skin out, giving my dry patches some real moisture. I had developed a bit of quite bad dry skin on my forehead and cheeks which is now sorted and my more oily patches have diminished slightly over continued use though I'm sure much more improvements will be seen. I report back on this when I've given it a few months

So i would definitely recommend the Bioeffect (http://www.bioeffect.co.uk/) as i definitely wouldn't have tried it otherwise, as it is rather pricey and i did think it was more for someone a lot older than me to be honest check it out though seriously.

Overall though i was disappointed with the box as Ive said, it just didn't live up to the first box. hopefully the next one will be better or they'll be getting an influx of people saying no thanks.
